Pia Henrietta from Rails Girls is open sourcing great ideas and changing the world at Singularity U
We are delighted to have Pia Henrietta on the show today. She energizes this cup of Smoking hot Coffee with her passion for helping others!
With Rails Girls, she is bringing more women into web development, and business leadership roles. It's popularity speaks for itself, spreading throughout the world, empowered by it's open source materials.
Henrietta also works with a workshop, mehackit, for children 6-12 year old at an age when they are very excited about building and playing with tech. It's a great chance to explain to kids at a young age they can create things using technology and not only consuming.
If that wasn't enough, she's currently at Singularity U's Graduate Studies Program that challenges 80 innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to create positive global impact in just 10 weeks.
Henrietta is an inspiration, following her passions & finding work worth working on. Follow her on twitter and make sure to find a Rails Girls event near you.
